Sonoran Desert Museum
Take your family out on a wonderful vacation to The Sonoran Desert Museum near Tucson, AZ. (Try to go during the cooler months and always bring plenty of drinking water. ) Meet the locals in this part of the Sonora Desert; Javelinas, Coyotes, and plenty of Cacti. And don’t forget to see the Raptor Show with Great Horned Owls, Harris Hawks, Falcons, and my favorite The Chihuahuan Raven! While you’re in the area, you can also enjoy a beautiful drive through the Siguaro National Park!
(Sound like a native. It is pronounced “sa waa ro”)
Saguaro National Park
Tucson, Arizona is home to the nation’s largest cacti. The giant saguaro is the universal symbol of the American West. These majestic plants, found only in a small portion of the United States, are protected by The Saguaro National Park. The park lies to the east and west of Tucson. Here you have a chance to see these enormous cacti. Once again, bring plenty of water as the desert heats up quickly!
