Winter Season
Winter is primarily for mountain sports in the Moreno Valley with downhill and cross country skiiing, and showshoeing. However, it is also a perfect time to capture the beauty of winter with your camera. The Angel Fire area averages 140 inches of snow per year in our valley with over 210 inches at the summit of the ski area. There are typically 31 days of snowfall each year. First snowfall at the lower elevations can begin as early as November with late season snowfalls into May. It’s a beautiful time of year and wildlife still abounds.
